About

Glory Child originally known as Jacqueline Obule  was born in the city of Port-Harcourt, Rivers State Nigeria. You would say she had a complete family having a dad, a  beautiful mum and six siblings(4 girls and Two boys). She started with singing as a hubby while in secondary school but actually discovered it was her gift at the age of 15,  and started singing while doing home chores and taking class lessons. She said “My voice is a gift from God; I told him that I wanted to worship him forever”. According to her, it was a transformation because her voice began to sound really beautiful after that prayer with God. Music became a dominant part of her life and she started writing poems and lyrics to songs in her notepad.

She gained admission in Central University College Ghana in 2009. Her love for God and music gave her a unique interest in the school choir which she joined in conjunction with another school singing group.

After receiving the necessary training and knowledge about music she left the choir in Level 200 ,when she decided to work on her own album. A decision which according to her was by leading of the spirit, she said “God told me he wanted to take me to places and that he wanted to use me for his work, it was a very difficult decision because I had a family in them”. She started working on her first single “He Reigns” an inspirational song from the Holy spirit which came to her while playing around with piano tunes in her room. She performed this single at different gatherings and it still is on the lips of many all over the world. The name Glory Child emanates from her heavenly father who is referred to as the King of Glory. She said “God used a man of music to tell me what he wanted me to be called”. Her first album “My God” will be released in November 2012.
